Revised: August 5, 2026

Welcome to the Wagon Wheel Motel. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, well-kept and memorable stay in a restored historic Route 66 property. The following terms apply to reservations, stays and visits. By booking or staying with us, you agree to these policies.

1. Prices, Taxes and Fees

Room rates are subject to applicable Missouri state and local taxes. A convenience fee may apply and will be disclosed at booking.

Promotional, group or special rates may carry different cancellation terms, which will be disclosed at booking.

2. Payment, Check-In and Check-Out

Full payment is required at booking.

Base Rate Cancellation Policy: Reservations are fully refundable when cancelled 14 or more days before the scheduled check-in date. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. Check-out is 11:00 a.m.

The front desk is open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guests arriving after 8:00 p.m. must call before the lobby closes so staff can arrange a key and explain how to complete check-in the following morning.

A valid, bank-issued credit card must remain on file. Government-issued photo identification is required and will be verified during digital or in-person check-in.

3. Occupancy Limits

The number of guests may not exceed the posted maximum occupancy for the room. Exceeding the limit may result in additional charges or termination of the stay without refund.

4. Traveling with Minors

Guests must be at least 21 years old to book a room.

Minors must be accompanied and supervised by an adult, including in public areas. The registered adult guest accepts financial responsibility for the actions of and damage caused by minors in the party.

5. Local Area Guest Policy

The following conditions apply to guests residing within approximately 50 miles of the Wagon Wheel Motel:

A valid, bank-issued credit card in the registered guest’s name is required. Prepaid or reloadable cards are not accepted.

A $250 refundable damage authorization will be placed at check-in.

The authorization will be released after checkout once the room has been inspected. The motel cannot control how quickly a financial institution releases the funds.

Government-issued photo identification is required for adult guests during digital check-in.

License-plate registration is required for overnight guest vehicles.

The number of guests may not exceed the posted room occupancy.

Unregistered guests and vehicles are not permitted on the property.

Gatherings and parties require advance written approval.

Damage, disturbances, smoking, occupancy violations or unauthorized guests may result in loss of the deposit, additional charges and termination of the stay without refund.

The Wagon Wheel Motel reserves the right to decline or cancel local reservations as permitted by law.

6. Accessibility and Historic Property Notice

The Wagon Wheel Motel is a restored historic property. Due to its age and original stone construction, parts of the property include uneven surfaces, elevation changes, stone steps or features that differ from modern construction. Guests with specific accessibility questions are encouraged to contact the motel before booking so staff can discuss available options.

7. Parking

Parking is complimentary and first-come, first-served.

During gift-shop operating hours, parking is available for retail customers. After office hours, parking is limited to registered overnight guest vehicles.

License-plate registration is required for overnight guests. Unregistered vehicles remaining after office hours may be removed at the owner’s expense.

RV hookups are not available.

8. Events, Gatherings and Group Bookings

Gatherings require advance written approval and may require additional terms and deposits.

Group bookings must be arranged with motel management and may be subject to separate rates, deposits and cancellation policies.

Only registered guests may stay overnight or occupy guest rooms after quiet hours. Daytime visitors require management approval.

An unauthorized overnight guest, occupancy violation, or unapproved gathering may result in a $200 policy-violation fee, termination of the stay without refund, and additional charges for documented damage or cleaning.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Violations may result in removal without refund and, when necessary, involvement of local authorities.

Commercial photography or filming requires advance approval.

9. Dispute Resolution

A dispute arising from a stay at the Wagon Wheel Motel shall first be submitted to mediation. If it remains unresolved, it shall be handled in Crawford County, Missouri. The prevailing party may recover reasonable attorney fees and costs as permitted by law.

10. Use of Personal Information

The Wagon Wheel Motel uses guest information for reservations, payments, communications, customer service, security, website analytics and optional marketing. Personal information is not sold. Information may be disclosed to service providers that support reservations, payments, website functions, analytics and advertising, or when required by law, as described in the Privacy Policy. Marketing communications are opt-in.

11. Liability

Guests stay at their own risk. The Wagon Wheel Motel is not responsible for lost, stolen or unattended personal property.

To the fullest extent permitted by Missouri law, liability for a claim arising from a stay shall not exceed the amount paid for the reservation.

Guests acknowledge the historic nature and inherent characteristics of the restored property.

12. Damage, Security Deposit and Cleaning Policy

The registered guest authorizes the Wagon Wheel Motel to charge the card on file for damage caused by guests, minors or unauthorized individuals.

Excessive-cleaning fees begin at $250 and may increase based on the labor and materials required.

Guests are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear.

13. Non-Smoking Policy

The Wagon Wheel Motel is entirely smoke-free. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping, marijuana and other inhaled substances.

Violation fees begin at $250 and may increase based on the remediation required to remove odor or repair damage.

14. Pet and Service Animal Policy

Pets are not permitted.

Trained service dogs, as defined by applicable law, are welcome. A service dog must remain under its handler’s control and may not be left unattended in a guest room or elsewhere on the property.

When the service provided by a dog is not obvious, staff may ask only whether the dog is required because of a disability and what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. Staff will not request certification or documentation.

A service dog may be required to leave only if it is not housebroken or is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to regain control. If a service dog is properly excluded, the guest will be offered the opportunity to continue receiving motel services without the dog.

No pet fee or routine cleaning fee is charged for a service dog. A guest may be charged for actual damage caused by a service dog on the same basis that other guests are charged for damage.

15. Room Keys

Guests are responsible for returning room keys at checkout. A $20 replacement fee will be charged for an unreturned key.

16. Force Majeure

The Wagon Wheel Motel is not liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, power outages, natural disasters or government actions. If such an event prevents the motel from providing reserved accommodations, management may offer rescheduling, a refund or another remedy required by applicable law.

17. Third-Party Rights

These terms apply to the registered guest and the Wagon Wheel Motel and do not confer rights on third parties.

18. Waiver

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.

19. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

20. SMS and Text Messaging

Guests may receive reservation-related text messages and, when separately opted in, marketing messages through Cloudbeds or related service providers. Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.
